What Inveo is, and what it is not
Inveo is a record of every company registered with the FMCSA to move, broker, or forward freight in the United States, kept current and made searchable. Roughly 1.8 million carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders, each with its authority status, insurance filings, safety record, and the history of how those changed.
What it is
A directory built on public records. Everything on a company profile comes from a named public source and carries the date we retrieved it. The methodology page lists every source, how often each refreshes, and what we compute versus what we republish.
A way to watch companies over time. The value in regulatory data is rarely the current value of a field. It is the change: authority revoked, insurance cancelled, a new filing after two quiet years. Watch a company and those changes come to you.
Free to search, and free to claim. Search and company profiles do not require an account. If a company is yours, claiming it is free permanently, and always will be.
What it is not
Not a pay-to-rank directory. No company can pay for placement, for a higher position in results, or for a better-looking profile. Ranking can reflect how complete a company’s regulatory record is. It never reflects whether they are a customer. This is a permanent commitment, not an introductory policy.
Not a verdict on any company. Public records are facts and we republish them as facts. Our interpretation of those facts is a separate thing, it is our opinion, and it is kept behind a sign-in. Anonymous pages show what the government published. They never show a score.
Not a replacement for your own diligence. A clean record on the day you look is not a guarantee about the load you are about to tender. Filings lag reality, sometimes by weeks. Use this to know what to ask, not to skip asking.
Not the last word. Records get matched wrong. Companies change names, addresses get reused, two firms share an officer for entirely ordinary reasons. Every profile has a way to tell us something is wrong, and corrections are worked, not queued.
Why the sign-in exists
Republishing a public record about a named business is well-established. Publishing our opinion about that business is a different act with different obligations. Keeping scores, risk interpretation, and derived judgement behind an account is how we keep those two things apart, and it is why creating an account is free rather than a paywall in disguise.
